Fate of all fate! the law enforcers, upon inspection, discovered the forbidden root of the almost-fatal disaster that screwed himself and the rest, - tin cans of Budweisers and Fosters found in his and his not-so pretty woman’s intimate possession (don’t wori dude, ‘wont tell your wife)
The verdict: “just” a minimum of Dhs. 20 thou (or a staggering P 350,000+) and months of incarceration w/ the company of potential rapists. (that is why each time I visited the repentant lover boy inside, my friendly advise is: Man, “WATCH YOUR BACK”) .Tsk. Tsk.

These moronic gang of 5 who also happened to be my kumpadres and x-katagayans (they dunno AJ's blogging, anyway) have had their car-offense tale more humiliating and flawed than that of Daniel Baldwin and Lindsay Lohan.
The verdict for his/their unlicensed driving while under Brandy and Vodka’s spell? - hefty amount too, enough for a corrupt someone to procure his next sports car. And for cracking a frenetic taxi-driver’s tail lights and overtaking/ditching the mad as a hatter latter? The verdict is: “just” a newly-wed left and right SLAP on their respective baby faces performed with pride and sheer excitement by their 6 footer captors - who does so to them in a firing squad formation.
Tsk, Tsk, Tsk!
And maybe, just maybe, after serving brutal sentence in a creepy gallow and paying fine fees (that can already buy a condo unit in Manila), their golden visas will be annulled promptly upon deportation, and one more for the road to home, the can’t be bribed Officers-in-uniform would surely tell them this: “there you are Boys, free as a bird to drink, drive and womanize again!"

I've heard. Both of my parents worked in Mid east for ages. My Mum was in KSA and Dad was in Iran, Iraq and KSA later on.
oh yeah, the reality in dubai! and people think living there is like living in paradise! tsk! tsk!
anyways, like what you've commented in mine, the crowd there during weekend, especially during fridays is unbearable. that's one thing we don't like about dubai! too easy for anybody to get a car that's why the road gets so congested!

filipinos are generally well behave. there are a few exceptions lang. And it's a reminder that some laws which we consider harsh are actually normal in some parts of the world.
