The Best Gift to Give

So there. Christmas is just around. And in the advent of the red day, I am having mixed emotions. Happy, in such a way I'm home by this time of the year when I used to only dream for the same back in Dubai. But not very Happy, because barely after losing my job abroad, I lost my local job as well, (w/ still pending dues owed to me by both, and only a Magic Wand could seem to turn my painful waiting into a much-needed pay-cheque) Sad, for in this regard, I fail short of warm present or cold cash for my army of inaanak and their minions who are destine to pop-up like a springed-clown inside a box o'er here - in our well-visited-house in Marikina. But not very sad, had since I keep the faith on Pastor Don Moen's Song's "God will Make a Way"…..
.
In the light, or in the absence of the above, I asked the Lord to grant me the wisdom and serenity on how the poor me could reach out on someone in a rich and special way. And true. The Lord has big ears to those who call upon His name. He has spoken to me through the pages of our Daily Bread w/c has been my constant companion lately while sipping my morning coffee. Let me share to you these few gift-suggestions:
.
1.The Gift of Visit:
an aging or a sick friend or relative might be badly needing one. Who knows? it could be your last reunion together. Nevertheless, your presence on an ailing person's side, is a source of healing, smile and strength.
2.The Gift of Affection: decent hugs, kisses and pats on the back is as sweet as a honey. Just be genuine when giving one, and you'll see...
3.The Gift of Laughter: Readers Digest says it’s one of the best medicine. Be not like the Grinch who stole the Christmas. Be like Santa instead who give away smile to the young and young at hearts. Talking here of Funny stories and wholesome jokes shared.
4.The Gift of a Written Note: It needs not to be in a Hallmark Greeting card, a brief thoughtful handwrittenote in a simple paper will do. Far more better than your virtual words & letters posted in Facebook.
5.The Gift of Compliment: Sincerely said, "you look great today" or "you are Special" could make a difference and would make others feel good. Who hasn't fond of receiving praises or compliment?
6.The Gift of Prayer: If you really is busy as a bee, and your from million miles away, Prayer has the amazing power to connect, binds, protect, change and heals. Next to Love, it's the next best you could offer this Season and onward. So wherever you are, and whatever you, "Let's Give our Prayer without ceasing" (as the Bible says).
.
They are Priceless, and they are Free. and there are more. in reflection, why not ponder and share to your love ones the best gift you’ve ever received? THE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE first given by "the Messiah" thousand Christmas days ago.
HAPPY GIVING FOLKS! =)
